Greetings Dear Friends of Interfaith Pagan
Pride Parade and Celebration, and Pagan Alliance,
The Pagan Alliance Board and Committee members would like to
thank each and every one of you who volunteered in the past at
the Interfaith Pagan Pride Parade and Celebration and our
various fundraisers. We would especially like to take this
opportunity to thank you for your continual support. Each of
you has made the Spring event possible!
As you may know, we are in a transition phase. As of June
2004, Interfaith Pagan Pride Parade and Celebration has
incorporated into the Pagan Alliance.
In addition, the name of the event has changed to Pagan
Festival.
On Saturday, May 7, 2005, the Pagan Festival will be held in
Berkeley, California, in Martin Luther King, Jr. Civic Center
Park. Our theme for the 2005 Pagan Festival is Weaving
Traditions. Please join us in celebrating and honoring our
diverse Pagan community. There will be a procession which will
include floats. The Procession will end in community ritual in
the park. The spring day will continue with celebration of our
diverse spiritualities through spoken word, music, song, dance
and art. The event will include vendors, children’s area,
author's circle, altars and information booths. We intend to
create understanding and foster acceptance of the differences
manifested in our interweaving ways.
Our mission is to promote improved understanding of our
various traditions. We will also be sponsoring a lecture and
workshop series, with guest speakers, authors, and community
leaders who are doing ongoing work locally, regionally, and
internationally.
We will also be hosting fundraisers throughout the year to
make our Spring Celebration and Procession and Lecture Series
possible. We thank you for your continued support and
participation.
We want to hear from you. Please email me at arlynne@thepaganalliance.org.
If you wish to volunteer please use our volunteer sign up page
